Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Impact VPN ("we", "us", the "Service Provider") handles information in connection with the Impact Shield VPN application (the "App") and the website at impactshieldvpn.com (the "Site"). The service is provided on an "as is" basis.
By using the App or the Site, you consent to the practices described here.
Our privacy principle
Impact Shield VPN is built around a simple idea: your online activity is yours. We do not log the websites you visit, your DNS queries, or the contents of your traffic. For the full breakdown of what we do and do not record, see our Logging Policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you create an account or subscribe, we may collect limited personal information such as your email address, username, and user ID.
Information collected automatically. When you use the App or Site, we may collect:
- Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Basic usage information, such as pages viewed, time and date of access, and time spent
- The operating system and device type you use
The App does not collect precise location data, and we do not use artificial intelligence to process your personal data.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate and improve the service, enforce free-tier data limits, provide customer support, send important service notices, and — where permitted — occasional product updates.
Third-party services
The App uses trusted third-party services that maintain their own privacy policies:
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically shared with these services to help us improve the App.
Payments
All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Google acts as the seller of record and handles billing in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy. See our Refund Policy for details.
Cookies and analytics on the Site
The Site may use cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand traffic and improve content. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
When we may disclose information
We may disclose information: as required by law (for example, to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process); when we believe in good faith it is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud; and with trusted service providers who act on our behalf and are bound by this policy.
Your rights and choices
You can stop all collection by the App by uninstalling it. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the LGPD in Brazil). To exercise these rights or request deletion of data you have provided, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Data retention
We retain information you provide for as long as you use the service and for a reasonable period afterward, unless a longer period is required by law.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
Security
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
